It’s been a terribly long time since my last post. What can I say, life took over and I had to go back to reality! I’m still working on the 5 remaining Season 4 FB recaps, and I will be posting them in time. In the meantime, my obsessive thoughts have turned to another passion of mine, the Outlander series, by Diana Gabaldon.

I have yet to read a more compelling love story. I will forever hold a very special place in my heart for Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice, but this series has seduced me through and through. Believe me when I say that Diana Gabaldon has ruined it for all men with a character named Jamie Fraser. He embodies all the perfections and imperfections that make you tingly all over. He’s charming, rugged, gorgeous, brave, loyal, intelligent, funny, and wears a kilt, ladies! Who wouldn’t want a red-headed 6 foot 18th century warrior highlander warming them up at night, whispering the loveliest words in their ear with the sexiest Scottish accent? Be still, my heart…

Why I Love This Show

We are in the 4th season of The Vampire Diaries. And I am still as hooked as I was in season one. Here’s why: the writing. Compliments to the acting as well– that brings it to life, but it’s the action and stories that have me so tuned in.

Let’s Be Done With Ship Wars. Seriously.

What started as a website dedicated solely to Facebook format recaps has now been given a secondary purpose. We’ve decided to add a new blogging section, to better express our thoughts and reactions to the episodes and the show in general. The recaps will still be the main focus, but since they sometimes take long to lay out, we’ll give this blogging thing a try while the recaps are being worked on.

I’ll go first. Today, I’m gonna talk Ship Wars. To be specific, I’ll be talking about two in particular.

I’m not a big fan of “ships” in general. I usually get psyched when a new relationship develops, but I think in the end, I feel it’s more about if it helps the story move along. So when I encounter real hardcore shippers, I can’t help but feel a little annoyed.

This isn’t real life, it’s a TV show. In order for the show to keep the story interesting, there needs to be some character growth, plenty of drama (truckloads of it) and good character chemistry. What I’m about to write will certainly not please y’all but I’m gonna go ahead anyway. Bring on the wrath, people!
